Deleting an asset resource

You can delete a resource from a digital asset if you decide you no longer want that resource associated with the asset in question.

	Once you delete a resource from the digital asset, that file is permanently removed from the storage directory. You need to upload the file again if you want to reuse it later.

Log in to the Admin console.
Choose Assets from the navigation pane.

The Assets page displays. The digital asset hierarchy appears under Directory.
Do one of the following:
- Use the Directory hierarchy to locate the asset you want to delete. Refer to Navigating the digital asset hierarchy for information about navigating to a particular directory node and digital asset.
- Use Search Assets by Name to find the assets (for more information, see Searching for assets).
Choose the Edit () option for the asset you want to delete a resource from.

The Edit Asset page displays.
Choose Manage Resources.

The Manage Resources page displays.
Choose the Delete () option for the resource you want to remove.
From the confirmation message, choose one of the following options:
- OK removes the selected resource from the asset.
  
  Important: This will permanently delete the digital file from the storage directory.
- Cancel ends the delete process without deleting the resource.
